Competing Urgencies: Translating Climate Neutrality in the European Union

Warsaw, Klagenfurt, and Ljubljana are among the 100 European cities leading the way toward climate neutrality by 2030. Our project explores how the urgency of climate change is understood, communicated, and acted upon in different political and cultural contexts. Through an anthropological lens, we analyze cities’ transitions, the translation of EU policies to local realities, and the socio-cultural dynamics shaping just climate futures.
